Room for Ruth

Room for Ruth is a supportive living environment whose purpose is to provide a temporary home for women seeking a new beginning. Room for Ruth offers a safe and stable short-term home to women in transition. The house provides residents an environment free from drugs and alcohol with the support needed to promote positive changes. In conjunction with housing services, residents are supported at New Frontier Treatment Center with Behavioral Health Treatment in an intensive outpatient or outpatient setting. The interaction with the Lead Advocate and other residents offers exposure to the skills necessary to live a productive, drug and alcohol free and self-sufficient life while transitioning back into the community.

Residents are:

• Women over the age of 18
• Required to be actively engaged in treatment services at New Frontier
• To remain clean and sober
• To find and keep employment
• Pay rent and develop a savings plan
• Maintain curfew and accountability
• Abide by house rules
• Work with assigned case manager to find permanent housing
