Troy Pefley grew up in the flooring industry, where he began doing carpet installation with his grandpa at just seven years old. Troy was taught by his grandpa that his dreams could come true, and they could be as big as he could imagine them, especially in the flooring industry.
While time continued, one thing that remained constant was Troy’s love for the flooring industry. “I remember feeling a great sense of accomplishment after completing my first flooring job. Seeing the customer so ecstatic is what really drove me to continue on my journey and made me strive to be the best I could be in the flooring industry.”
In 2004, Troy started Troy’s Carpet Installation and Repair, where he completed installation and carpet repairs. Troy knew that he had a thorough understanding of product and what it took to install floors correctly. He always dreamed of having his own store. After eight years in business as Troy’s Carpet Installation and Repair, he decided to move to the next step.
Troy purchased Royal Floors and found out he had a lot to learn. He continued to grow his knowledge and his business, and after four years, he joined the Carpet One Floor & Home cooperative. His determination to provide excellent customer service and high-quality products drove his decision to become part of the co-op, and he hasn’t looked back since. Today, we proudly offer premium flooring solutions like laminate, luxury vinyl, hardwood, carpet, and tile.
Today, we are called Royal Carpet One Floor & Home and are located in Fernley, Nevada. Troy still focuses on customer service as well as giving back to his local community. He is proud to support the Sheriff’s Office, Relay for Life, and the community service fundraising program. Every year Troy also donates turkeys to the community for those in need.
