Epidemiology and Communicable Disease

The CNHD Epidemiology Program offers comprehensive epidemiology services for the City of Fallon and the counties of Churchill, Mineral, Pershing, and Eureka. Our aim is to detect, investigate, and respond to communicable diseases in order to reduce their incidence. Communicable diseases are those that spread from one host to another. CNHD works closely with state and local health officials, providers, schools, emergency responders, community members, and others to monitor and prevent illnesses and promptly respond to infectious disease outbreaks. Additionally, we provide various clinical services to the communities served by CNHD.
